Canon announce the release of their new 4K projector

1 September 2015

Canon has announced its first entry into the 4K projection market with the Canon XEED 4K500ST, which features constant brightness of 5,000 lumens across the entire zoom range and is one of the smallest and lightest 4K installation projectors on the market.

Designed for a wide range of applications including simulation, medical imaging and engineering, XEED 4K500ST features a 4,096 x 2,400 LCOS panel and improved AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical system delivers an increased contrast ratio, deep, pure colours and strong reproduction of black areas.

Key Features:

+ Uses a high definition 4,096 x 2,400 LCOS panel, content exceeding the resolution of 4K digital cinema can be projected.

+ Capable of displaying very fine, detailed images perfect for engineering applications where Computer-Aided Design (CAD) work and 3D modelling require high levels of detail.

+ Newly developed 4K wide zoom lens, capable of projecting large images from a short distance, as well as a peripheral focussing function that enables the projection of images onto curved screens

+ Weighing in at just 17.6Kg, including the lens, the XEED 4K500ST is the world’s lightest 4K projector. Its compact size can fit unobtrusively into a variety of installed environments, meaning 4K projection can become a reality outside of the cinema environment.

+ Designed for a wide range of applications including simulation, medical imaging and engineering, the projector offers 4K resolution whilst being compact and lightweight.

Coming to you in early 2016!
