Lutron Home Control+ App Transition

News / 21.06.18

To Lutron’s Valued Installers:

As a part of Lutron’s continued commitment to innovation, integration and security, Lutron will soon be discontinuing active support of the Lutron Home Control+ (LHC+) app and fully transitioning to the Lutron Connect app.

Schedule

1.         July 31st, 2018 - The LHC+ app will be placed into maintenance, meaning only critical software issues will be fixed. In North America, new account creation for remote access via the LHC+ app will be turned off.

2.         September 15th, 2018 - LHC+ North American remote access subscription renewals will be turned off.

3.         September 15th, 2019 - The app will be removed from app stores.

Lutron recommends that all customers interested in smartphone, smartwatch and tablet-based control of their system move to the Lutron Connect app. The Lutron Connect app provides all the capabilities of LHC+ and is easier to use, offers more integration capabilities, as well as free remote access using industry best, state-of-the-art security protocols. The transition to the Lutron Connect app is a great way to reconnect with your customers and offer them enhanced system functionality.

Please start transitioning your customers to the Lutron Connect app immediately, beginning with those who are most active with the LHC+ app, and start using the Lutron Connect app on all new projects.

We understand that HomeWorks Illumination customers will need to upgrade to HomeWorks QS to take advantage of the Lutron Connect app. With the recent addition of the GRX/WPM link license to the portfolio of legacy licenses supported by HomeWorks QS, we feel now is the opportune time to offer your customers an upgrade to Lutron’s HomeWorks QS system utilizing the upgrade promotion. Thank you for your continued support.
