New Features from Lutron HomeWorks 21.4 QSX

The recent launch of HomeWorks 21.4 QSX software has added even more capabilities to Lutron’s already powerful flagship product. 

What’s new?

Remote Transfer services are now supported 
Once enabled, Lutron dealers can now remotely transfer databases, sync homeowner app edits, and share access with other dealers and staff via myLutron. Connection dropouts aren’t a cause for concern with remote transfer, either. Lutron’s smart transfer maintains the existing database on the processor until the new complete database has been transferred and verified for integrity. So even if your connection drops out mid-transfer, there’s no window where the processor could end up without a database and your customer without lighting control.

Full remote access
Full remote access can be granted to dealers via the homeowner app, with the homeowner retaining control of who they allow to connect to their system and for how long. The secure connection also allows you to service your clients remotely without the need for secure VPN access to their network. 

Sonos
The Lutron app now allows you to program your Lutron keypads to control Sonos speakers. Add favourite songs or playlists to your scenes, or control volume simply via your wired or wireless keypads. 

Ring
After linking Lutron and Ring accounts via the Lutron App, homeowners can program their Lutron system to turn loads on in response to doorbell rings or motion events detected by their Ring devices.
