Designed and manufactured in the UK, QMotion Advanced Shading Systems specialise in providing wire-free window covering solutions for both residential and commercial environments. Featuring 100’s of fabric designs, colours and textures, including blackout, translucent and sheer options, QMotion blinds can either be totally wireless or wired depending on the installation. Taking just three minutes to set up once installed, users can control QMotion blinds from a dedicated remote control, by a smart phone or tablet using the QMotion app for either one-way or two-way communication, or have their blinds fully integrated into a home automation system. Regardless of the chosen operating method, the user can remotely operate their blinds individually, by room, by elevation, by floor or all at the same time.
To power its blinds, QMotion offers multiple options, including battery power via readily available D cell batteries for total wireless installation and 240V where power is already supplied to the opening. Of particular interest to installers is the low-power 24V over Cat 6 solution, which delivers both power and control to the blind. This innovative solution is unique to QMotion, where the single cable run provides all control via the RS485 ports on the rear of the QMotion QIS Power/Communication panel, whilst also supplying the 24v power requirement to operate the blinds.
With unique inbuilt technology, the QMotion blind can also be operated by hand via the patented manual override feature, allowing the user to operate the shade manually without the need for a remote control. By simply tugging the bottom bar, users can lower the shade or send the shade back up to either its last pre-set position or to a fully raised position, bringing a new level of convenience to the shade controls.
QMotion blinds offer fully integrated window treatment solutions for almost every known home automation system and even the Amazon® Echo Plus. They work natively with Control4 control systems, requiring no integration interface to get up and running, whilst the blind motors themselves have native ZigBee protocol receivers that are inbuilt. The motors receive commands over the Control4 ZigBee mesh network and report back their position direct to the Control4 EA controller. Other Integration partners with QMotion drivers include world class brands such as Savant, Vantage, Crestron, RTI, Bang & Olufsen and URC.
Users can also set timers and schedules on their home automation system, with the ability to automatically lower and raise their blinds when they are away from the property. It’s no problem if they forget to set the schedules, as the blinds can be operated when off-site via the QMotion app.
QMotion UK shades come with a five-year warranty for peace of mind guaranteed.
