Screen height placement is of the utmost importance in any projection system installation regardless of location. To get the distance right, most screen companies include black material (a ‘black-drop’) around the screen to put the correct distance between the housing and top of the screen… but what if that black-drop wasn’t needed anymore?
Projecta’s innovative SightLine screens offer a new alternative to this standard black-drop border with 3 or 4 thin cables that can be extended up to 180cm on site, making planning an installation much easier.
This new system removes the need of calculating the black drop before installation or adjusting the position onsite. Now you can use the limit settings to position the projection screen in the ideal ergonomic viewing height, so the audience can comfortably watch the content.
Should any future projector require a different viewing height, SightLine easily accommodates a quick change to the position of the projection area.
Visually it gives the impression that the screen is floating in the air, and practically it opens up the space above the screen that would previously have been blocked by black drop for speaker or camera placement.
SightLine is available in the DescenderPro and Tensioned DescenderPro screens, ceiling recessed-projection screens where the entire screen has the added benefit of becoming invisible. As well as the SiteLine technology, they also feature a new motorised ALR surface option in addition to the high-resolution HD Progressive materials. The DescenderPro offers the possibility to just click-in the entire roller that includes the motor and screen surface after installation of the case. The case design offers a clean finish without gaps or visible screws, after attaching the bottom plate to the case.
Designed and manufactured in Europe, Projecta screens can be custom made to a variety of sizes and formats and can be delivered to your door within 10 working days.
