The course in May will be delivered using a brand new format that breaks the course into both a theory, and a practical portion. The theory portion is a self-study version of the course that was formerly delivered over 4 days. Now it should take a single day to complete. This will give trainees the flexibility to complete the theory portion of the qualification as and when it fits their schedule. Additionally, I have been tailoring the content to be more targeted to the kinds of challenges our customers are facing in the UK market.
The self-study theory portion of the course is now live to give people time to complete before the live session on May 16th. Please note that the self-study is a pre-requisite and must be completed prior to registering for the live session.
For the practical portion of the qualification, there are two options:
A 1-day training event at the EC. This class is intended to give attendees hands-on experience mounting blinds, plus some additional presentations on particular topics.
This course will cost £500 (€570) per person.
The live session means that clients no longer need to build a window frame or order a training kit to complete this training.
- OR -
Complete the exercises at home using the kit based on instructions we provide. I will assess their installations in a, one-on-one Teams call where they can also ask any questions they may have, and I can cover the additional content from the live session.
The kit will need to be purchased, current cost is £2,020 LIST/ £1,010 ASD. We will no longer be charging the £300 course cost for virtual attendees.
To do the virtual installation, clients will need to build a window frame based on the instructions we provide.
The May course will be a bit of trial run with some of the course elements still needing updates, but what we will launch with is an improvement over what we have today and will only continue to improve from here.
Lastly, anyone who has purchased a kit already but would prefer to attend the live session instead can work with customer service to return the kit (assuming it is unopened).
